COMPETITIONS
We welcome you to participate in the wide array of competitions at NID MPDU Mosaic. Through these competitions we encourage you to showcase your unique concepts and and creative abilities and gain exposure for a broader perspective.
We aim to sensitize you towards design thinking and trigger creative process through exchange of ideas, stories and culture that bring out the essence of design and keep the spirits of MOSAIC alive.

On the day of facilitation
T-SHIRT DESIGN
Design a T-shirt on the theme “Incredible India”
Competition: Design a T – shirt based on the given theme – the Incredible India.
- Students will be provided with a downloadable digital mock-up (Profile of T-Shirt; Printable) of a t- shirt, using which they will come up with the design.
- Minimum 2 and maximum 4 colors should be used to make the design.
- Participant can submit only one design (no team participation).

Who can participate: Students 8th to 12th class.
Note:
- The T-shirt design should not violate any provision of the Indian Copyright Act (i.e. no copy from any original source).
- In case using any quotation, its source should be properly verified, authenticated and mentioned.
- Writeup on the design process to acquire the final outcome in PDF format.
- Dimension – A3 paper (297 mm x 420 mm) in PDF/ JPEG format on the given downloadable mock-up of T shirt.
- Participants are allowed to use any medium (digital or traditional to come up with the design).
- Resolution – 150 dpi.
- Mode- Landscape or portrait.
LOGO DESIGN
Design a logo for a “Toy Company OOGO”
Competition: “Oogo” is the name of hypothetical toy industry. Design a logo for the company.
- Students can either participate individually or in teams of 2.
- Any number of colors can be used.
Who can participate: Students 8th to 12th class.
Note:
- The Logo design should not violate any provision of the Indian Copyright Act (i.e. no copy from any original source).
- In case using any quotation, its source should be properly verified, authenticated and mentioned.
Requirements for submission:
- Writeup on the design process to acquire the final outcome.
- Dimensions – A3 paper (297 mm x 420 mm) in PDF format with max number of pages as 3.
- Resolution – 150 dpi.
- Mode- Landscape or portrait.
POSTER DESIGN
Design a poster on the theme “Equality for All”
Design a poster that spreads awareness to all human beings for “equality for all “and also acts as guidance and possible solution that can help solving the same.
- Categories – “Illustration” based poster and “Typography” poster.
- Medium – Manual or digital.
- No limitations on style (caricature, realistic, abstract, etc) and medium.
- Participant can submit only one design (no team participation).
Who can participate: Students 8th to 12th class.

- The Poster design should not violate any provision of the Indian Copyright Act (i.e. no copy from any original source).
- In case using any quotation, its source should be properly verified, authenticated and mentioned.
Requirements for submission:
- Writeup on the to acquire the final outcome. (150 words minimum)
- Poster Size – A3 paper (297 mm x 420 mm) in PDF/ JPEG format.
- Resolution – 150 dpi
- Mode – Landscape or portrait.
PAPER TOY FOR KIDS
Theme: Design toy for kids
Design a toy for kids using Paper.
- Use of any type of paper is allowed
- Participant can submit only one design (no team participation).
Who can participate: Students 8th to 12th class.
Note:
- The Toy design should not violate any provision of the Indian Copyright Act (i.e. no copy from any original source).
- In case using any quotation, its source should be properly verified, authenticated and mentioned.
Requirements for submission:
- Writeup on the design process to acquire the final outcome and the working of the toy.
- A PDF file containing photos from various angles of the toy and additional concept sketches of the toy. (max 6 A4 pages).
